Libby Newton, LPC
Therapist
I’m Libby Newton, LPC.
I’ve always been the “weird quiet kid.” Growing up, I often felt invisible, talked over, or misunderstood, and those experiences are a big part of why I became a therapist. I wanted to create a space where people can feel truly listened to and understood without having to fight for it.
I’m especially passionate about working with trauma and neurodivergence, particularly with late-diagnosed autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD AFAB individuals who spent years masking and wondering why life felt harder than it seemed for everyone else. I relate to a lot of those experiences personally, from sensory overwhelm and misophonia to feeling like you’re constantly trying to fit into spaces that weren’t built for you.
I also love EMDR therapy. I actually went into EMDR training as a skeptic, but I was surprised by how powerful and transformative the process could be. Now, helping clients process trauma and better understand themselves is one of my favorite parts of this work.
I believe therapy should be a place where you can stop trying to “fix” yourself and start learning how to thrive as the person you already are.
